The Sindh Health Department has decided to abolish the traditional paper-based leave system for its officers and employees and require all leave applications to be submitted online.
According to instructions issued by the Sindh Health Department, after August 31, 2026, all officers and employees from BPS-16 to BPS-20 will be required to submit applications for all types of leave exclusively through the Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS) portal.
Under the department’s orders, any leave application submitted on paper or through the traditional procedure after the specified date will not be accepted under any circumstances.
Employees will also be required to submit their leave applications through the HRMIS portal and obtain approval from the relevant authorized officer before proceeding on leave.
The department has clarified that any employee who remains absent from duty without submitting a leave application through HRMIS and obtaining formal approval will be considered unlawfully absent.
Moreover, strict disciplinary action may be taken against any officer or employee who attempts to obtain leave through a channel other than HRMIS.
All section officers have been directed to process leave applications only through the HRMIS portal and ensure strict implementation of the new online system.
The department said employees facing difficulties in submitting leave applications or using the HRMIS portal may contact focal person Dr Allah Bakhsh Mushtaq, Chief Technical Officer (BPS-19).
