Pakistan’s economy way behind other countries: Ahsan Iqbal

ISLAMABAD: Former interior minister Ahsan Iqbal has stated that Pakistan is way behind as the country in terms of economy.
According to the PML-N leader, even the currency of Afghanistan is more valuable than Pakistan. The PML-N leader said, “We strengthened the food, energy, and water security sectors. Unfortunately, this government has destroyed everything. They threw the roadmap of national development into the dustbin.”
He asserted that the incumbent government is working without any plan for two years. Ahsan Iqbal claimed, “Our future is being ruined by an incompetent and inexperienced government.”

While lashing out at the incumbent government, he said, “Nawaz Sharif visited China and made a historic deal with them in the form of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).” He added that the first phase of CPEC was infrastructure which we had successfully completed and launched. “This government is taking credit for all those projects,” he added.
He further said that when Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Pakistan, Prime Minister Imran Khan was standing in the container saying that Chinese President had come to Pakistan to give expensive loans.
