Pakistani mountaineer Salman Atiq has successfully scaled Mount Everest, the world’s highest peak, becoming the 13th Pakistani to hoist the national flag atop the mountain.
According to reports, Salman Atiq reached the summit of Mount Everest on Thursday at 11:39am local time.
By unfurling Pakistan’s green crescent flag at the summit, he brought pride and honour to the nation through this remarkable achievement.
Salman Atiq was also the only Pakistani among the 464 climbers granted permits by the Government of Nepal for this year’s Everest climbing season.
The accomplishment has been widely regarded as a significant milestone for Pakistan’s mountaineering community and a testament to the growing presence of Pakistani climbers on the international stage.
