NEW YORK: Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Dr Asad Majeed Khan participated as the Chief Guest in the NETSOL closing bell ringing ceremony at NASDAQ stock exchange in New York City.
Nasdaq is the premier US stock exchange, while Netsol is an international software solutions company with extensive operations in Pakistan, headed by Pakistani-American entrepreneur Najeeb Ghauri.
The closing bell ringing marked two decades of Netsol being listed on Nasdaq. NETSOL has a robust international presence in nine countries and a team of 1500 resource persons in Pakistan and all over the world.
NETSOL Ascent and NETSOL Mobility support over 200 tier one customers worldwide including such notable names as Daimler Financial Services, BMW Financial, Ford Credit, Volvo, and Fiat. Netsol’s solutions have resulted in over $200 billion in transactions worldwide.
Earlier Netsol also partnered with the Embassy of Pakistan in Washington DC to organise the first Tech Summit in Silicon Valley in October 2019 where a number of Pakistani startups and tech companies participated.
The closing bell ringing at Nasdaq is a prestigious ceremony. The conferring of the honour on Pakistani businessman underscores the potential of Pakistani IT leaders and companies.

Honored to join Netsol CEO Najeeb Ghauri at @Nasdaq Closing Bell Ceremony in New York today. A proud moment for all Pakistani Americans & inspiration for all our entrepreneurs working in the Tech Sector. @PakEmbassyDC @ForeignOfficePk pic.twitter.com/zl8SwW4oKh
