ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan weather forecast today indicates rain in several parts of the country, while hot and humid conditions are expected to persist across much of Punjab and Sindh, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
Rain in northern areas
As per the available forecast, Islamabad is likely to remain partly cloudy, with the temperature expected to reach 34 degrees Celsius.
Rain is forecast in parts of Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, as well as Swat, Kohistan, Battagram, Shangla and Waziristan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The PMD’s wider outlook also shows rain and thunderstorms affecting northern areas and upper catchments, with isolated heavy falls possible.
Karachi weather today
For those checking Karachi weather today, the port city is expected to remain partly cloudy and humid, with drizzle possible at some places.
Winds are currently blowing at around 4 kilometres per hour, while the temperature is expected to reach 33°C.
Most of Sindh is likely to remain hot and humid. Coastal areas, however, may see partly cloudy conditions.
Balochistan weather forecast
Most of Balochistan is expected to remain hot and dry, although scattered rain is possible in several districts.
The PMD has forecast rain in Zhob, Musakhel, Loralai, Kohlu, Sibi, Ziarat, Mastung and Dera Bugti. Showers are also possible in Nasirabad, Khuzdar, Barkhan and adjoining areas.
Islamabad weather today and nationwide outlook
The Islamabad weather today forecast points to partly cloudy conditions, with rain activity possible in surrounding northern areas.
Authorities continue to monitor weather and river conditions as monsoon activity persists. The Flood Forecasting Division has warned of rain and thunderstorms across upper Punjab, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and the upper catchments of major rivers.
Residents in vulnerable areas should follow official advisories and remain cautious during heavy rain, particularly in mountainous and flood-prone locations.
