Pakistan has beaten Australia by 8 wickets to secure an ODI series win after 22 years. The captain of the national cricket team, Mohammad Rizwan, along with Babar Azam, savored every moment of the historic victory..

Australia started batting on Sunday after Pakistan won the toss and elected to bowl first. While the yellow shirts remained calm at the ground, the green shirts began showcasing their bowling prowess by the 20th over when Australia lost their first wicket.

The host team’s opener, Jake Fraser-McGurk, scored 7 runs off 9 balls before losing his wicket when Mohammad Rizwan caught his stunning delivery from Naseem Shah. Australia lost their second wicket soon after when Aaron Hardie was dismissed.

Aaron Hardie made 12 runs off 13 balls and was looking confident at the crease before Shaheen Afridi got him out, with Salman Ali Agha catching the ball safely after it was hit in the air, bringing the collective score to 36.

They lost their third wicket at 56, fourth at 72, fifth at 79, and sixth at 88 when J. English, M. Short, G. Maxwell, and M. Stoinis went to the pavilion for scores of 7, 22, 0, and 8, respectively. However, the series of wicket losses continued.

The green shirts took their seventh wicket when Australia was on a collective score of 118. Adam Zampa, after scoring 13 runs, got out to Naseem Shah. Australia lost their eighth wicket at 140 when Sean Abbott also got out after making 30 runs off 41 balls.

At the end of the batting, Australia lost its remaining wickets at the same score when Lans Morris was bowled by Shaheen Afridi and went out after playing only 2 balls without scoring. The last player to bat, who ended the batting line, was Cooper Connolly, who was retired out. He made 7 runs off 16 balls.

Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah took 3 wickets each, while Haris Rauf claimed 2 wickets and Muhammad Hasnain managed to secure one.

On the other hand, Pakistan reached the target in 31.5 overs with the loss of two wickets. Lance Morris was the most successful Australian bowler, taking the wickets of Saim Ayub and Abdullah Shafiq at 84 and 85, respectively. Both openers performed exceptionally well for Pakistan.

Abdullah Shafiq scored 37 runs off 53 balls, while Saim Ayub was the top scorer with 42 runs off 52 balls. Babar Azam contributed 28 runs off 30 balls, and Mohammad Rizwan stole the show with 30 runs off 27 balls, including 2 sixes.
