Pakistan on Sunday scored 171/5 after India won the toss and elected to field first in their Super Four clash of the T20 Asia Cup 2025, held at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
India’s captain, Suryakumar Yadav, and Pakistan’s skipper, Salman Agha, once again did not shake hands at the toss.
Pakistan made two changes to the side that last faced India, bringing in Haris Rauf for Sufiyan Muqeem and Hussain Talat for Hasan Nawaz, while India remained unchanged.
Pakistan’s first player to be dismissed was Fakhar Zaman, who scored 15 runs before getting out at the team total of 21. His wicket was taken by Hardik Pandya.
Fakhar’s dismissal triggered a debate on social media, with many users calling the umpire’s decision controversial.
After Fakhar’s departure, Sahibzada Farhan and Saim Ayub played responsible innings, taking the team’s score to 93 runs. At that point, Saim Ayub was caught out on 21 runs off Dubey’s delivery.

The third player to be dismissed from the national team was Hussain Talat, who was out for 10 runs at the team total of 110, falling to Kuldeep Yadav.
Shortly after, at a total of 115, Sahibzada Farhan was also caught out on Dubey’s delivery after scoring 58 runs. His innings included 3 sixes and 5 fours, scored off 45 balls.
It is worth noting that defending champions India secured a seven-wicket victory in a politically charged match on September 14.
That Group A encounter was overshadowed by controversy, as Indian players opted not to shake hands with the Pakistani cricketers after the match.
