KARACHI: The coronavirus cases in Pakistan are now above 277,400, while the number of casualties has passed 5,900.
The number of confirmed coronavirus cases has surged to 277,402 in the country, while the death toll stands at 5,924. As per the National Command and Control Center (NCOC), around 246,131 corona patients have recovered across the country.
The number of the coronavirus cases in Pakistan is declining rapidly and according to the data released by the NCOC, during the last 24 hours, 21,628 corona tests were performed. A total of 1,931,102 Corona tests have been performed across the country.
The number of affected patients in Sindh has reached 120,052, at least 33,845 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 11,708 in Balochistan, 14,987 in Islamabad, 2,055 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, 2,042 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 92,655 in Punjab.
The death toll from the coronavirus has risen to 2,133 in Punjab, 2,172 in Sindh, 1,186 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 165 in Islamabad, 136 in Balochistan, 50 in Azad Kashmir and 50 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Coronavirus testing capacity in the country has exceeded 60,000 per day and 132 testing laboratories are working. The first case of corona in Pakistan was registered on 26th February 2020.
