Pakistan has officially denied reports claiming that an Indian pilot is in its custody, according to a statement released by the military’s media wing.
“There is no Indian pilot in our custody,” confirmed Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), during a press conference held jointly with senior officials from the Pakistan Navy and the Pakistan Air Force. He urged the public not to fall prey to unfounded rumors and misinformation circulating on social media.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to regional stability, the ISPR chief emphasized that there is no room for war between Pakistan and India. “Any conflict between the two nuclear-armed nations would have devastating consequences for the entire region,” he said.
Lt. Gen. Chaudhry further said that Pakistan has consistently acted with maturity and responsibility amid escalating tensions. “This was a potential conflict between two nuclear powers, with implications for the lives of 1.6 billion people across the region,” he warned.

He concluded by condemning those who advocate for war, asserting that such calls are driven by self-interest. “Peace is in the best interest of both countries. Those pushing for confrontation do so to serve narrow, personal agendas,” he said.
