The Lahore City District Administration is set to establish eight sacrificial animal markets across the city starting May 20, in preparation for Eid-ul-Adha.
According to official sources, these designated sale points will be equipped with essential facilities, including fodder stalls, mobile banking services, water and electricity supply, tented enclosures, medical booths, and rest areas for both sellers and buyers.
The proposed locations for these markets include:
-  Shahpur Kanjran Cattle Market (Multan Road, near Thokar Niaz Baig) – Punjab’s largest and only permanent cattle market, managed by the Punjab Cattle Market Management & Development Company.
- Â Saggian Road (near the Sui Gas Office, Ravi Town)
- Â Barki Road (near Paragon City, Aziz Bhatti Town in the Cantonment area)
- Â New King Lane Housing Society
-  Sports Complex (Adda Rakh Chabeel, Wagah – Shalimar Tehsil)
- Â LDA City (near Sidhar Village)
-  Kahna Kaacha (Nishtar Town – Model Town Tehsil)
-  Near Haveli Markaz (Allama Iqbal Town – Raiwind Tehsil)
Except for Shahpur Kanjran, which operates year-round, the remaining markets will function temporarily under the respective town or zonal administrations of the Lahore Metropolitan Corporation and will remain operational until Eid.
