Pakistan LNG Limited has issued spot purchase tenders for liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargoes for May.
According to sources in the Petroleum Division, Pakistan LNG Limited has invited bids from international companies for two LNG cargoes. Global firms may submit their bids until 7 May.
Sources added that the bids will be opened on the same day, while delivery of the first LNG cargo for May has been scheduled between 12 and 14 May.
A few days earlier, Federal Minister for Energy Awais Ahmad Leghari had stated that Pakistan had received LNG supplies, following which electricity load management had come to an end.
In his statement, the minister said the public had faced load management in recent days, but confirmed that the issue had been resolved after the arrival of LNG supplies
