Airlines raise fares, cut flights amid rising fuel costs due to Iran war

Airlines around the world have announced fare increases and major reductions in seat capacity following the impact of the Iran conflict on global fuel prices.

According to Al Jazeera, soaring jet fuel prices are placing increasing pressure on the aviation sector.

Airlines have already begun reducing flights on several international routes, particularly affecting services across Europe and the Middle East.

Reports said that approximately two million seats have been removed globally, equivalent to around 13,000 flights.

Airlines have also started increasing ticket prices in an effort to offset mounting operational losses caused by higher fuel costs.
