ISLAMABAD: On the occasion of Pakistan Day, President Dr Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan, in their messages have urged the nation to show the greatest unity, discipline and passion to battle the coronavirus outbreak in the country.
In his message to the nation, President said nations have to go through hard times, adding that Pakistani have to show unity as a nation to fight this challenge.
He said this is a pandemic and no government can overcome it without active support and cooperation of the whole nation.
The President said it is the responsibility of all people of society, including Ulema, media and political leaders to play their due role in enlightening the people about the precautionary steps against the coronavirus outbreak.
President said our brave doctors, nurses and paramedics are discharging their duties bravely, putting their own lives at risk and the nation salutes them for their unrelenting and selfless deeds.
The Prime Minister in his message appealed masses to take safety measures without getting panicked, as he is personally monitoring the government’s steps against the coronavirus outbreak.
He said the nation has the ability to face any ordeal and God willing; the government will stand victorious in this testing time.
The President and the Prime Minister also paid tributes to the founding leaders of Pakistan and expressed entrenched support to the people of occupied Kashmir who have been subjected to brutal lockdown and communication blockade.
It is pertinent to remember that the nation is celebrating Pakistan Day today with complete simplicity as all public gatherings, events programs were also canceled amid an outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
