Pakistan continues winning streak in Street Child World Cup with dominant 5–0 victory over the host Mexico.
According to reports, in the ongoing competition featuring teams from 30 countries, Pakistan’s Street Children football team delivered a dominant performance in their second match, defeating host Mexico 5–0.
Kashif Khan and Isa Khan scored two goals each, while Shahid Anjum added one goal to complete the comprehensive win. Pakistan had earlier opened their campaign with a 2–0 victory against Indonesia, with both goals scored by Kashif Khan.
The tournament includes various boys’ and girls’ events and is focused on promoting the rights, protection, and identity of street-connected children around the world through sport.
Organized under the Muslim Hands initiative, which uses sports as a tool for education and social change, the Pakistan team participating in the World Cup is also expected to attend the United Nations General Assembly.
It is worth noting that Pakistan previously won the silver medal in the Street Child Football World Cup held in Qatar in 2022.
Meanwhile, the players and management dedicated both victories to “Marka-e-Haq” and the armed forces of Pakistan, paying tribute to their sacrifices, bravery, and national service.
The squad includes Abdullah, Mubashir Shah, Muhammad Hamad, Nadeem Hussain, Muhammad Mustafa, Muhammad Isa, Shahid Anjum, Muhammad Kashif, Muhammad Bilal, and Muhammad Ibrahim.
