BOGOTA: Tremors from a 5.2-magnitude earthquake were felt in Colombia, triggering fear and panic among residents.
According to Xinhua, the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) reported that a 5.2-magnitude earthquake struck Colombia on Tuesday morning. The epicenter was initially recorded at a depth of 10 kilometers, at coordinates of 4.43 degrees north latitude and 76.74 degrees west longitude.

The 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck in the morning and was followed by approximately 100 aftershocks.
The devastating earthquake severely damaged residential buildings, homes, schools and medical centers. Several buildings developed cracks, while others tilted or completely collapsed.
In the worst-affected cities, rescue workers continued searching for survivors throughout the night, using cranes and excavators and, in some locations, removing rubble by hand.
