NEW ZEALAND: The players of the Pakistan national cricket team have been issued a warning by the New Zealand Authority for breaching COVID-19 protocols.
The reasons for the violation of the national squad’s coronavirus Standard operating procedure (SOP) came to light. According to sources, some members received food from hotel staff without masks during the isolation.
As per the New Zealand Authority, some people have been seen violating SOPs on CCTV, but now all players and staff are confined to their rooms.
The New Zealand Authority said that all people in quarantine will be retested for coronavirus four times and the violation has been committed in a local facility.
“Violations of the rules in isolation are taken seriously and all foreign teams must respect the rules to prevent the spread of coronavirus, the authority maintained.

It is to be noted that the coronavirus test of six members of the Pakistan cricket team came positive who went on a tour of New Zealand, after which the affected people have quarantined themselves.
The national team squad arrived in New Zealand two days ago where they were tested for coronavirus upon their arrival. The New Zealand Cricket Board has temporarily suspended the national squad from practice.
