ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has categorically rejected the report of the illegal demarcation of India for occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to details, the Foreign Office Spokesperson has explicitly rejected the report of India for the Occupied Kashmir by Pakistan and summoned the Indian Charge d’Affaires to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today.
According to a Foreign Office spokesperson, the Indian charge d’affaires has been informed of Pakistan’s rejection of the report of the so-called Indian Boundary Commission and a protest letter has also been issued.
The spokesman said the Indian move was aimed at depriving the Muslim-majority population of India’s illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir of their right to self-determination.
He said that India had been told that the move was ridiculous and had already been rejected by the cross-section of political parties in Occupied Kashmir and through this effort, India only wants to justify its unilateral and illegal actions of August 5, 2019.
The Foreign Office spokesperson added that the Indian Charge d’Affaires stressed that the good intentions of the Indian government were evident from the fact that under the guise of so-called demarcations, the representation of Muslims in re-nominated constituencies was reduced to their detriment.
According to the spokesperson, the Indian move also undermined the Indian government’s argument for the empowerment of the local population. In reality, however, the new electoral boundaries will further weaken, backward, and divide the people of the occupied territories.
He said the Indian move would only pave the way for another puppet government backed by the BJP-RSS alliance. Asim Iftikhar said that the Indian Charge d’Affaires had stressed that the Jammu and Kashmir dispute was an internationally recognized dispute and a long-standing point on the agenda of the UN Security Council. Demographics should be avoided.
He said that any illegal, one-sided and mischievous attempt by India to allow the disproportionately high electoral representation of the Hindu population to the detriment of the Muslim population was a violation of democracy, ethics and UN Security Council resolutions.
