ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) proposed new rates of petrol and diesel prices.
According to sources, on Thursday, the regulator has prepared a summary recommending an increase of Rs10 per litre in price of high-speed diesel (HSD), and an increase of Rs5.90 per litre for petrol price. The regulator has forwarded its summary regarding new rates of petroleum products to the ministry.
However, the final decision will be taken according to Prime Minter Imran Khan. Earlier, the prices of all the petroleum products by Rs4 to Rs8 per litre were increased on 1st October.
While, according to Federal Minster Hamid Azhar, the prices of petrol products in Pakistan are still lower than other countries and the decision taken was necessary because of rising oil prices in the global market.
