New private airline South Air has started a trial flight service from Karachi to Gwadar, with its first flight successfully landing at the New Gwadar International Airport.
The new service is expected to improve travel facilities and strengthen connectivity between Gwadar and other major cities, including Karachi and Quetta.

According to the airport flight schedule, South Air flight Z8-905 departed from Karachi at 12 noon on Tuesday and reached the New Gwadar International Airport at 3:40pm.
The launch of operations at the airport, developed under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), is expected to facilitate smoother movement of passengers, cargo, and commercial services.
Airline officials said improved connectivity between Gwadar seaport and the international airport could help transform the city into a modern commercial and transit hub, generating employment opportunities and supporting long-term regional economic growth.
