Noah Centineo’s The Recruit has become one of the trending series on Netflix.
The spy-adventure series landed last weekend on Netflix and was well-received by the viewers. Here’s everything we have gathered about season two of The Recruit:
Plot
The story follows Owen Hendricks, who joins the CIA as a lawyer expecting to enjoy a typical first day at the office, but his first week gets off to a rocky start. When the CIA receives a letter from a former asset, Max Meladze, threatening to divulge the agency’s secrets unless she is exonerated of a severe crime, Owen Hendricks is assigned to it.
Owen embarks on a journey in the hopes of completing the mission and making a mark on the CIA despite his lack of expertise in these operations and unfavorable circumstances.
However, the stakes are high in this game, and he may find himself in a world of deadly politics governed by shady personalities.
Will there be a season 2?
Netflix is yet to announce whether ‘The Recruit’ has been cancelled or renewed for season 2, but the streamer will be monitoring viewership closely over the next month or so as it weighs up the decision.
Based on Hawley’s previous work, it seems likely that The Recruit is intended to run for multiple seasons (as opposed to being a limited series) and there is certainly potential to take the premise further.
Possible cast of season 2?
If The Recruit returns for another season then it’s likely that Noah Centineo would once again be heading up the cast.
He could once again be backed up by co-stars Aarti Mann, Colton Dunn, and Fivel Stewart, helping to give the show its comedic edge.
Meanwhile, The Recruit cast also counted Vondie Curtis-Hall along with Kaylah Zander, Kristian Bruun, and Laura Haddock among its top names in season 1.
