‘Poor Things’ which had a worldwide premiere in December 2023 has been a damn successful at the box office, earning $100 million worldwide.

Poor Things: Plot
Poor Things remixes the Frankenstein tale into a young woman’s journey of self-discovery. Plus, it has a strange, melodic soundtrack, a journey around the world, and sumptuous period costumes. The film is based on Alasdair Gray’s novel of the same name.
The film follows Bella Baxter (Emma Stone), who was created by Godwin Baxter (Dafoe) to test the boundaries of science and medicine. Bella has the brain of a child—and Godwin slowly becomes attached to her as a paternal figure. As Bella matures, she becomes fiercely independent and demands to see the world on her own terms, carving out a life that is full of rich and wild experiences.
