Responding to recent media reports, a representative for the streaming platform clarified on July 21 that while discussions regarding a follow-up may be noted in industry chatter, “nothing has been finalized.” While Netflix’s cautious stance leaves the door open for future developments, it confirms that a second season has not yet received an official green-light.
The clarification follows a media report claiming that executives were laying the groundwork for a second installment and engaging in early-stage discussions. That report indicated that while casting and production timelines remained undecided, initial conversations about extending the story line were already underway.
The official statement arrives amid the show’s remarkable commercial performance. Based on the popular webtoon *Get Schooled* (published in English), *Teach You a Lesson* follows inspectors from the fictional Education Rights Protection Bureau who are deployed into troubled classrooms to enforce order within a failing school system.
