LONDON: Former premier Nawaz Sharif will be hospitalized for cardiac intervention in upcoming days.
The news was confirmed by a physician of the Sharif family, Dr. Adnan Khan that Sharif’s Rubidium Cardiac PET Scan documented severe ischemic heart disease.
The doctor further added that his cardiovascular team had planned Cardiac Catheterization to treat significant complex coronary arteries blockages.
According to the latest medical reports of Nawaz Sharif, which have been submitted in Lahore High Court, the former premier’s condition was not stabilized yet. He requires surgery, which could not be conducted until improvement in his health condition.”
Moreover, on January 18, the medical board formed by the government evaluated the medical reports of Nawaz Sharif. The medical board with Professor Mahmood Ayaz in chair held the meeting and declared the medical report submitted by physician Adnan Khan as incomplete.
Earlier on 17th January, Nawaz Sharif was granted a permanent exemption in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills on the medical grounds. He has been staying in London since November 2019 for the medical treatments.
