KARACHI: Bowlers dominate the day two proceedings of the first round matches of the National U19 Championship here in Karachi on Sunday. Balochistan Whites’ Jahangir Khan bagged five wickets to dismiss Southern Punjab Whites for 224 at the UBL Sports Complex, while a collective effort from Central Punjab U19 Whites bowlers had Northern U19 Whites following-on in a Pool B fixture.

Pool A fixtures:

At the Hanif Mohammad HPC Ground, Central Punjab U19 Blues spin twins Arham Nawab and Ali Asfand dismissed Northern U19 Blues for 212 in 77.5 overs. Resuming their innings on the overnight score of 77 for two from 25 overs, Northern Blues managed to bat only 52.5 overs more before getting themselves bowled out. Northern’s captain Shamyl Hussain could add only five runs to his overnight score and was dismissed for 61 off 109 balls, hitting seven fours and one six.
