ISLAMABAD: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) announced the other day that all of its offices in the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) will remain closed on Friday & Saturday, April 9 and 10, following a local holiday notification issued by the Islamabad administration amid high‑level US‑Iran ceasefire talks.
In a public notice, the authority said the closure will apply to all NADRA offices in Islamabad on Thursday and Friday. NADRA’s round‑the‑clock mega centres will be shut from 8:00 a.m. on Thursday until 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, the notice added.

NADRA clarified that its offices in neighboring Rawalpindi will continue to operate as usual, providing some relief to residents of the twin cities who require in‑person services during the Islamabad shutdown.
The authority also advised Islamabad residents that several services will remain accessible via the Pak ID mobile app.
It may be added here that the closure is the latest in a series of service disruptions and administrative measures in the federal capital over the past two days. Islamabad has already observed local holidays, the suspension of classes at schools and colleges, restrictions on heavy vehicles and the temporary closure of several public hiking trails as security preparations for the international talks have intensified.
