Mushtaq Mahar likely to be appointed as new IGP Sindh

KARACHI: A consensus has been reached on Monday between the federal and Sindh government in the name of Mushtaq Mahar as IGP Sindh.
It should be noted that the transfer of IGP Sindh Kaleem Imam was agreed between Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah after which the federal government has shortlisted three names for the new IGP Sindh.

Earlier Sindh government had recommended three names for the post of IGP, including Dr Kamran Fazal, Aamir Ghani and Mushtaq Mahar out of which Mr. Mahar is expected to be the new IGP of the Sindh province.
Prime Minister Imran Khan arrived in Karachi on Monday on a one-day visit where he met Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah at the Governor’s House where it was agreed to replace IG Sindh Kaleem Imam in the meeting.
