KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange’s KSE-100 index has been crashed by losing over 900 points in intra-day trading after the verdict over former president Pervez Musharraf was issued.
The index opened at 41,603 points but after the verdict was released, the index nosedived, plunging to 40,414 points at one stage.
At 3:36 pm, the KSE-100 was trading at 40,562.94 after having lost 1,040.77 points or 2.57 percent. The total volume traded in the market was 169,864,590 shares.
The move came after today when a detailed verdict in the high treason case against Musharraf was announced by the Special Court.
