ISLAMABAD: About two million doses of coronavirus vaccine Sinovac have reached Pakistan.
According to the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), an additional two million doses of Sinovac arrived in Pakistan on a special flight of the National Airline (PIA). Corona vaccine Sinovac doses will be distributed to all vaccination centers across the country.
The NDMA is looking into the procurement of vaccines from the global market. The arrival of a new batch of corona vaccines will increase vaccination across the country. This vaccine has been procured from China and will be delivered to centers across the country as arrangements have already been made.

Today, at least 39 more deaths and 930 new cases have been reported in Pakistan due to the global epidemic coronavirus. The total number of deaths from COVID-19 in Pakistan has reached 22,073 and the number of positive cases has reached 950,768.
The number of active cases is 33,005 and 8,95,960 people have recovered from coronavirus. So far, a total of 1,348,354 doses of the virus have been administered.
The highest number of deaths due to coronavirus is in Punjab where 10,672 people lost their lives while 5,358 in Sindh, 4,280 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 775 in Islamabad, 111 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 303 in Balochistan, and 574 in Azad Kashmir.
