Danish Iqbal Ali Muhammad is a prominent figure in Pakistan’s business community, being a key member of the influential Gul Ahmed Industries family. Following the division of Gul Ahmed Industries, he inherited several units, including textile mills.
After completing his college education in New Jersey, USA, Danish earned his BBA from Sharjah University of America. He then took over the family business from his father.
In 2012 Danish Iqbal founded Gul Ahmed Energy Pvt Ltd and became the Chairman. Under his leadership, the company began generating electricity from furnace oil, supplying power to K-Electric. Subsequently, he expanded into renewable energy, establishing a wind power plant with a capacity of about 60 MW, which was added to the National Grid through an agreement with Nepra.
Currently, Danish Iqbal owns Independent Power Producers (IPPs) with a combined capacity of approximately 100 MW.
It should be noted that Natasha Danish, the wife of Danish Iqbal, caused the deaths of four people in a car accident on Karsaz Road, Karachi, two days ago. Since the accident, the family has been under intense media scrutiny, and social media is abuzz with news about the incident and Natasha’s background.
Initially, it was reported that Natasha appeared to be under the influence when she collided with several vehicles on Monday evening. However, her lawyer later informed the court that she was suffering from mental health issues.
