Two people were killed when gunmen opened fire on them, while an attacker died during retaliatory firing in the Bara area of District Khyber on Saturday.
Police said that the incident occurred over a monetary dispute between the two parties. Soon after receiving the report, a heavy contingent of police reached the site and shifted the dead bodies to the hospital for autopsy.
Earlier in June 2026, three persons, including a woman, were killed and two others sustained injuries when two groups exchanged fire over a land dispute in Bara tehsil of the Khyber district.
The sources said that Farhad and Asghar Khan exchanged harsh words over a land dispute and traded fire in Bar Qambarkhel.
As a result, three persons, identified as Farhad Khan, Aftab Khan and a woman, were killed on the spot while two others sustained injuries. The injured, Asghar and his daughter, were shifted to Dogra Hospital for medical treatment.
