The harassment case filed by actress Momina Iqbal against MPA Saqib Chadhar remains under investigation, with authorities continuing to collect evidence and examine digital records.
According to officials, the case was registered on the basis of the initial complaint, but Saqib Chadhar has not yet been proven guilty and the investigation is still underway.
Director Cyber Crime Ali Waseem said the case was registered on first information and further investigation is yet to be completed.
He added that several aspects of the matter are still under inquiry and no final conclusion has been reached so far.
Officials said a notice has been issued to the provincial assembly member directing him to submit the required mobile device to the inquiry team. However, authorities claim that the requested device has not yet been provided.
According to investigators, both the complainant and the accused have been informed regarding the required devices. Officials said the devices submitted by the parties will be analyzed by the inquiry team.
Authorities stated that the analytical reports of the mobile phones will help determine the nature of the alleged crime. The inquiry team is also collecting additional evidence related to the case.
Officials confirmed that Saqib Chadhar is currently on bail and remains part of the investigation. They added that any decision regarding arrest will be taken after the inquiry team’s analytical report is completed.
