Clear message from Misbah to Sarfaraz, other players

LAHORE: Former cricketer Misbah-ul-Haq has expressed disappointment over losing the series to New Zealand.

Misbah-ul-Haq said that no matter how hard you try in cricket, the process of luck also interferes. “It is important to understand and talk about cricket issues,” Haq further said.

“We tried our best to prepare the team but the New Zealand team played better cricket than us. Losing the series to New Zealand is disappointing,” he added. The head coach said that the team worked hard in the series against New Zealand.

Due to coronavirus, the players had to live in isolation, Haq maintained. The tour of New Zealand did its best to win but did not live up to expectations. Missed catches, which is a pity, he said.

The head coach of the national team said that the fielding needs to be further improved. Athletes’ fitness issues also have a negative effect on the game. “Babar Azam’s injury caused a lot of damage as his absence is like the absence of Kane Williamson in New Zealand.
