Micro smart lockdown imposed in several UCs of Karachi

KARACHI: A micro smart lockdown has been implemented in 34 Union Councils of Central District of Sindh’s capital city.
According to details, more areas in the Central District of Karachi have been closed under smart lockdown in view of the ban on SOPs for the prevention of coronavirus in Karachi. The lockdown has been implemented in Gulberg Town, North Karachi, North Nazimabad, and some UCs of Liaquatabad in Central District and FB Area from today which will continue till 31st December 2020.
Under the notification of Deputy Commissioner Central District, UC-3 to 6 and 8, UC-1 and 8 to 10 in Liaquatabad, and micro-smart lockdown in UC-2, 4, 5, and 7 of North Karachi have been implemented. Similarly, in UC two, four, five, six, eight, and nine in North Nazimabad, citizens have been instructed not to leave their homes. The DC Central District says double streets, social events, and commercial activities will be closed on various streets.

Under the micro-smart lockdown, unauthorized persons will not be able to enter certain areas. There will be a complete ban on public movement and business activities and industrial units. Grocery stores, medical stores, and dairy shops will be able to continue to operate within certain working hours to purchase necessities. Public transport and online services will also be banned.
