British actress and Princess Meghan Markle was criticized by American media based on a guest’s casual conversation in her program, and the reason was attributed to the Princess’s distance from the British royal family.
According to details, Meghan Markle experienced a strange conversation when a guest spoke on season 2 of her Netflix program With Love Meghan and openly admitted that he was not a fan of her program Suits. The Duchess of Sussex had invited winemaker Payman Bahami Bailey to her lifestyle program so that he could teach her to make different drinks, and he mentioned that he had actually been a lawyer in New York. When Meghan interrupted and asked if he had seen her legal drama Suits, he criticized the program by saying, “I don’t watch basic cable.”
When this conversation came to the attention of American media (Page Six), they pointed out that Meghan had played the role of Rachel Zayn in USA Network’s Suits from 2011 to 2018. The program regained popularity in 2023 when it was released on Netflix and became one of the streaming giant’s most-watched shows.
According to media reports, although season 2 of With Love Meghan received severe criticism, the mother of two recently responded to critics. She concluded that those who criticize the program might actually like it, when she appeared during a conversation with Emily Chang on circuit.
Meghan Markle said: “I think often the negative voices—are they saying negative things and then quietly going home and making spaghetti in a pot? Possibly. Who is making spaghetti in a pot? Certainly, Jan. Certainly, Jan.”
For now, Meghan is keeping her displeasure with critics on low heat and not letting it fully boil over.
