Meeting of parliamentary leaders convened on Sunday

ISLAMABAD: A meeting of parliamentary leaders has been convened in the National Assembly on Sunday.

The meeting will be chaired by Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser. The meeting will be held in Parliament on 28th September i.e. on Sunday at 3 pm.

The Speaker has also sent letters to the parliamentary leaders asking for suggestions on electoral reforms and ensuring transparency in the upcoming Gilgit-Baltistan elections.

Letters written by the Speaker of the National Assembly Asad Qaiser said that doubts were being expressed about the transparency of the upcoming elections in Pakistan and Gilgit-Baltistan.

The Speaker sent letters to the parliamentary leaders from the National Assembly asking them to propose amendments to the relevant laws, rules, and procedures to ensure the transparency of the elections.

The letters written by National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser have been sent to Mian Shahbaz Sharif, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Khalid Magsi, Akhtar Mengal, Maulana Asad Mehmood, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Tariq Bashir Cheema.
