Meera quarantined at hotel after returning to Pakistan

LAHORE: Pakistani actress Meera, who was stuck in the United States due to suspension of flights amid the COVID19 epidemic, returned to Pakistan on Wednesday.
As per details, the actress arrived in Lahore from Washington via foreign airline and is quarantined at a local hotel. Meera has also confirmed her return to Pakistan on a social media website Instagram.
She wrote, “Thanks to Allah, I am back in Pakistan. A big shout out to Pakistan Embassy Washington and New York Consulate”.
“You guys are amazing. You work so hard to help our fellow Pakistanis overseas. Proud of you and praying for you! Stay blessed Pakistan!” she added.

The actress will now be completing 15 days in quarantine before heading to her own home to continue self-isolation.
On April 22,  Meera had appealed to PM Imran Khan to arrange for her repatriation as she is left helpless in America where COVID-19  had taken thousands of lives.
In a video message, Meera said her Chinese cameraman had died and she was stranded without help from anyone. Meera, a month earlier, had gone to America to shoot her film ‘Long Distance’.
She said, “I had come to New York with several artists including Humayun Saeed to shoot a film and show”. “My colleagues have gone back to Pakistan but I am stuck in New York,” Meera said.
