Manchester United honored the Pakistan Supporters’ Club on Saturday before their Premier League match at Old Trafford versus Everton.
Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford, both of whom scored off penalty kicks in the first half, gave the Red Devils a comfortable 2-0 victory.
The Pakistan Supporters’ Club members had the opportunity to meet Gary Pallister, a revered figure in Manchester United’s history, prior to their recent game. They seized the moment to capture a snapshot with the club legend.
Pallister, who boasts three Premier League titles, etched his mark in United’s legacy with 317 league appearances before concluding his tenure with the club. His journey led him to Middlesbrough for the final three years of his illustrious career.
Sharing the encounter on social media, United proudly announced, “Our Pakistan Supporters’ Club had the privilege of meeting former Red Gary Pallister ahead of our match against Everton Football Club.”
During the clash with Everton, Argentine prodigy Alejandro Garnacho stole the spotlight by clinching the Player of the Match title. Garnacho not only earned two penalties but also showcased exceptional skill with the ball, emerging as the standout performer for the team.
Reflecting on Garnacho’s stellar performance, Man United’s head coach, Erik Ten Hag, commended the young talent, stating, “He’s showing remarkable progress, and we’re thrilled with it. His impact today was immense—his runs, his dribbles—it’s captivating for the spectators. We aim to entertain, and he delivered. The penalties were well-deserved.”
