The people of Karachi were made to suffer for every drop of water as Hub Canal has become a haven for water thieves who are stealing water in connivance with the staff deployed on the waterway.
According to the report, the staff deployed on Hub Canal turned a blind eye and is reluctant to take an action when water tankers line up around Hub Canal.
Hundreds of thousands of gallons of water are being stolen from the canal. About 50 to 75 MGD of water are being taken away.
