KARACHI: Gas supply to Karachi’s many areas has been suspended due to the rupture of 20-inch main gas line in Gulshan-e-Jamal area of the metropolis.
According to details, the main gas supply line of Gulshan-e-Jamal burst due to boring. Sui Southern says that the supply has been cut off immediately and repair work has been started.
Apart from Gulshan-e-Jamal, the areas without gas supply due to the main line burst include Dalmia, Navy Housing, Shantinagar, DHA, Civil Hospital, II Chandragar Road and adjoining areas.

Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) announced an increase of Rs1.66 in per kilogram price of Liquefied Natural Gas (LPG).
According to OGRA’s notification, the new price of LPG in July is set at Rs220.42, an increment of Rs1.66 from the earlier price.
Meanwhile, after this increase, the domestic LPG cylinder will now be available at Rs2600.97. Accumulated price hike in LPG comes to Rs19.62 per kg for the month of July. It is pertinent to mention here that in June, the domestic cylinder of LPG was Rs2581.35.
