Actress Mahira Khan has recently revealed why she chose to do a stereotypical drama ‘Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay’.
The drama is considered Mahira Khan’s comeback to the small screen. While speaking in a podcast, Khan shared that she had done a story in which there are three cousins and two girls who like the same guy. “How can I preach something?”, Mahira maintained by adding that then something rare about the character worked for her.
“The character of Mehreen was not of a crying girl or being weak and eventually I like how she will pan out.” shared Mahira. According to the actress, she likes the fact that it is more about what elders do and the kind of stuff they say and how it becomes toxic.
Khan also opened up about working with a selected few people in the showbiz industry. “A lot of people think that I work with certain people, with big directors and with a big this and a big that.”
“I have actually enjoyed ‘Prince Charming’ so much and ‘Aik Hai Nigar’ so much that now I am looking for a story that speaks to me,” said Mahira. “I am just looking for a director who just breaks me down and makes me into something else,” she added.
