LAHORE: Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan Sunday announced to resume long march on Tuesday from the same point in Wazirabad where his container came under attack last Thursday.
“We have decided that our march will resume on Tuesday from the same [point] in Wazirabad where I and 11 others were shot, and where Moazzam was martyred,” Imran said in a press conference from Shaukat Khanum Hospital. “I will address the march from here (in Lahore), and our march, within the next 10 to 14 days, depending on the speed, will reach Rawalpindi.
He said Azadi Long March will reach Rawalpindi in 10 to 15 days, where he will physically join the march. Imran Khan invited the masses to join their protest and break the shackles of fear.
Imran Khan, the chairman of the PTI, has stated that while he supports Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s decision to ask the Supreme Court to establish a judicial commission to investigate the attack on his long march, he also believes that a free and impartial investigation cannot be conducted because those he holds accountable control all the agencies.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan has reiterated that he holds responsible three men for the attack on his long march container, saying that he has every right to have them nominated in the FIR.

“I firmly believe that these three engaged in a conspiracy to carry out this act. I have the right to file the case. If I can’t have his name on the FIR, as the head of the largest political party and a former prime minister, what [rights can be expected] for the country and for the average person?
“First, video surfaces that I’m committing blasphemy, it should be probed in the investigations. The video is then highlighted by a journalist affiliated with a political party.
Who is releasing confessional videos of the alleged suspect, he questioned.
Imran Khan condemned the alleged objectionable video leak of party Senator Azam Swati and went on to say that the video is not fake and should be investigated.
Azam Swati will observe the sit-in outside the Supreme Court for the delivery of justice, he added.
