The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) has announced the removal of the scrutiny fee for Intermediate Part-I students seeking a review of their exam papers.
This decision follows student demands to waive the entire fee, arguing that the Rs1,000 charge for scrutinizing a single paper was unjust.
Earlier, the BIEK had offered a 50% discount on the scrutiny fee for students of the 2024 Intermediate Part-I annual examination in subjects including Science, Pre-Engineering, General Science, Home Economics, Private Commerce, and Private Arts groups.
However, in response to student outrage, the board has now decided to completely abolish the scrutiny fee. Moreover, a facilitation desk has been set up at the inquiry window to assist students with collecting and submitting scrutiny forms.
