In Karachi, the weather remains cold and pleasant today, with high humidity levels in the morning, making the chill more pronounced. The temperature is expected to stay between 15 to 17 degrees Celsius, and it may rise slightly during the day, reaching around 20 degrees Celsius.
As reported by national media, citizens might also experience fog, particularly during the morning and evening, which could reduce visibility. There is no chance of rain, and the skies will remain cloudy.
According to the Meteorological Department, the wind will be light to moderate, blowing at a speed of 10 to 15 km/h. Citizens have been advised to wear appropriate clothing for the cold weather and to take precautions while traveling in the fog.
Meanwhile, northern areas are experiencing snowfall, and fog continues to affect the plains of Punjab. In Skardu, temperatures have dropped to 11 degrees Celsius, and in areas like Gupis, Astore, and Liyyah, it has reached 10 degrees Celsius.
In Gilgit, Kalam, Bagrot, and Hunza, temperatures have been recorded between -6 to -7 degrees Celsius. Severe snowfall in Chitral has disrupted daily life, with road access to higher areas being cut off.
The foggy conditions in the plains of Punjab are continuing to cause travel disruptions. The M-4 motorway from Abdul Hakeem to Multan and the M-5 motorway from Multan to Rohri have been closed. The motorway police have urged citizens to avoid unnecessary travel for their safety.
