The Commissioner of Karachi has issued revised official prices for poultry products, setting new rates for broiler chicken and farm eggs.
According to the official price list, the farm-gate price of live broiler chicken has been fixed at PKR 260 per kilogram.
The wholesale price has been set at PKR 272 per kilogram, while the retail price is PKR 280 per kilogram.
The official retail price of broiler chicken meat has been fixed at PKR 420 per kilogram.
For farm eggs (minimum weight of 58 grams each), the farm-gate price has been set at PKR 227 per dozen, the wholesale price at PKR 233 per dozen, and the retail price at PKR 240 per dozen.
The administration has directed all retailers to ensure that poultry products are sold at the officially notified rates and warned that strict action will be taken against those found violating the price regulations.
