Pakistani model and social media influencer Huma Saleem’s Instagram account became inaccessible on Monday, a day after she levelled serious allegations of harassment, threats and mental abuse against an unnamed national cricketer.
Users attempting to access her profile are now greeted with the message, “Sorry, this page isn’t available.” It remains unclear whether Instagram suspended the account or whether Huma Saleem deactivated or deleted it herself.
Earlier, Huma Saleem shared a series of Instagram Stories alleging that an unnamed Pakistan cricketer had subjected her to harassment, threats and emotional and psychological abuse.
Although she did not identify the player, she claimed that despite having no contact with him for the past two months, he continued to harass her and had recently begun issuing threats.
In her statement, the model said she had remained silent for a long time while enduring what she described as an abusive relationship, but decided to speak publicly after the situation failed to improve.
Huma Saleem also alleged that the cricketer attempted to damage her professional reputation by contacting her family members, friends, colleagues and people associated with her work.
She further claimed that she intended to disclose alleged facts regarding the misuse of funds within the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The PCB and no cricketer has publicly responded to her allegations, and the claims remain unverified.
