ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that 170,000 scholarships for skill development will be awarded to the youngsters under Kamyab Jawan Program.
The prime minister in a video message for youngsters detailing the Kamyab Jawan business loan and skill development program urged the youth to take full advantage of the Programs launched by the present government for creation of job opportunities in the country.
He said 50,000 scholarships will be given for higher technologies, adding that this will not only benefit the youth but also the country as a whole. The government earmarked Rs100 billion for business loans on merit to youngsters who have business plans this year and would increase the budget every year, he said.
PM Imran said, “The biggest issue faced by the youngsters is unemployment and they would be bringing various programmes to uplift youth in the country.”
He said this will enable the youth to get excellent job opportunities as the world is heading towards a revolution in technology, adding that the skill education program also envisages training in several other fields as well.
PM Imran urged that any youth who has a business idea can avail loan facility under Kamyab Jawan Program. The PM informed that this program will be further expanded in order to reach out to more youth.
The Prime Minister said the youth mainly want jobs in the public sector however, actually it is the private sector or the small and medium enterprises where they can get job opportunities in good numbers.

It is pertinent to mention here that Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar had earlier said that over Rs7 billion loans have been disbursed among nearly 6,000 youngsters under the Kamyab Jawan Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme.
Giving a briefing to the participants regarding the Kamyab Jawan Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme, Asad Umar said that so far they have provided loans of over Rs7 billion to 5,852 youngsters.
“We are planning to expand the programme and will provide loans to 100,000 more youngsters,” the minister said, adding that more avenues will explore for providing financing to 200,000 more youngsters.
