Karachi Electric (KE) has announced a series of scheduled maintenance shutdowns across different areas of Karachi on 9 May 2026 to facilitate essential repair and maintenance work on its power infrastructure.
According to the maintenance schedule issued by KE, electricity supply will remain suspended for several feeders between the morning and evening hours, with outages expected to continue for up to nine hours in certain areas.
The affected feeders include 19th Street Bukhari RMU, Achanak Hotel, Ali Doulat, Ammar Bukhari, Associated Glass, Court Road RMU, Eastern Export, Landhi-B, Malir Poultry Farm, Mid Point, Mucca Chowk, Noorani Kabab, Palace Theator, Quaidabad Shopping, Rangeen Cinema, Rehber Industry, Shaez Residency, Shama Centre and Shanti Nagar, among others.
The scheduled shutdowns are to begin between 7:59am and 10:00am, while power restoration in most areas is likely to take place between 5:58pm and 6:56pm.

KE stated that the temporary suspensions are part of routine maintenance efforts aimed at improving the stability and reliability of the electricity distribution system.
Consumers residing in the affected areas have been advised to make necessary arrangements in advance and cooperate during the maintenance process.
