Karachi: The supply of 40 million gallons of water from the Dhabeji Pumping Station has been fully restored, according to a spokesperson for the Water Corporation.
The spokesperson stated that the city is currently receiving its regular daily supply of 650 million gallons of water without interruption.
Officials explained that the city had faced a shortfall of 40 million gallons over the past few days due to ongoing repair and maintenance work.
The Water Corporation confirmed that water supply from Dhabeji has now been completely reinstated, and uninterrupted distribution from all pumping stations across the city is continuing as normal.
Karachi had faced water shortages over the past few days due to repair and maintenance activities at the Dhabeji pumping station, one of the city’s key water supply sources. Several areas experienced reduced water pressure and irregular supply during the maintenance period.
The Water Corporation stated that technical teams worked continuously to complete the development work within the scheduled timeframe in order to minimize inconvenience to citizens.
Authorities said the restored supply will gradually stabilize water availability in affected neighborhoods where residents had been facing difficulties because of the temporary reduction in supply.
