PTI Chairman Imran Khan has decided against appearing before the joint investigation team formed to probe into the May 9 violent incidents, including the attacks on the Corps Commander House in Lahore, while, an anti-terrorism court of Lahore declared the search warrant of Imran Khan’s residence ‘ineffective’.
PTI chief Imran Khan has not appeared before a joint investigation team (JIT) probing the Jinnah House attack case and requested the he be facilitated at his Zaman Park residence.
The summons for Imran were issued yesterday.
In his reply to the summons, submitted through his lawyers Advocates Ali Ijaz Buttar and Naeem Haider Panjhuta, Imran has cited “reports from credible sources” that he could be attacked during public appearances and while joining the investigation.
Meanwhile, Judge Abhar Gul of the Anti-Terrorism Court remarked that one-time warrants are only valid for a specific period. The court announced the verdict on the decision on the application filed for the cancellation of the search warrant for Imran Khan’s residence at Zaman Park.
