Senior Pakistani actor Javed Sheikh shared his less-than-pleasant experience working with actor Emraan Hashmi on the set of their film Jannat, as reported by international media.
According to a report by Indian Express on Tuesday, in a recent YouTube video from Aaj Entertainment’s Ramadan transmission, Javed spoke candidly about Emraan’s ‘rude’ behavior during filming.
Actor Javed Sheikh explained that he hadn’t met Emraan prior to the shoot and was introduced to him for the first time at Newlands Cricket Stadium in South Africa. Javed Sheikh described how Emraan responded coldly when he attempted to shake hands, dismissing the gesture and turning his face away.
This left Javed feeling frustrated, especially since he is respected by bigger stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Salman Khan, who always address him respectfully.
He also revealed that he avoided speaking to Emraan throughout the rest of the filming process. Despite their initial interaction, Javed insisted on keeping his distance, refusing to go where Emraan was seated during rehearsals and instead, expecting Emraan to approach him.
Interestingly, Emraan Hashmi approached Javed Sheikh and asked why he didn’t have breakfast in the hotel dining hall with the rest of the crew. Javed explained that he preferred having breakfast in his room and didn’t like the idea of wearing pajamas and going to the hall. This conversation sparked a change in their relationship, and they developed a mutual interest in each other.
Jannat, a crime drama directed by Kunal Deshmukh, also starred Sonal Chauhan and Samir Kochhar. On the work front, Emraan Hashmi was last seen in the web series Showtime and is set to appear in Ground Zero next.
